I don’t know about you but I do a lot of thinking while driving. I know that doesn’t really sound good as we should all be paying attention to where we are going, what’s around us, and other vehicles. However, most of my commutes are on long stretches of backroads. I’m talking 40 to 60 miles every single day. That’s is a lot of time to say dream, sing along with the radio, make voice notes about what supplies you need, etc.

Day dreaming while driving

Quite a few of these trips I’m going over in my mind what I have to do with the projects I have outstanding. Lately, it’s all about what my clients need me to get done this week, how I’m going to great that book trailer, promo poster, and elements to include in the next GIF. I also have a few clients that I write blog articles for and inspirational or promotions graphics for the month. So, that stuff swirls around up around there while I’m toddling down the road mornings and afternoons.

Every now and then a stray thought on my own writing projects wiggles in there. Sadly, most of the time I lose that idea before I get home because some idiot decides to jump in front of my car and I have to slam or brakes or some animal decides it’s his day to die and distracts me worrying about the aluminum bumpers crashing in on me. Today one of those popped into my head while I was sitting in the parking lot of the grocery store!!!! Yea, I remembered my note function on my cellphone and promptly wrote it down. Now I just need to get home and remember it’s there waiting to be added to my first fiction novel. ???
