Debby Grahl is a Romance Fiction Author who lives and works in South Carolina. She is an active member of the First Coast Romance Writers group in Jacksonville, Florida. She became involved with the group after meeting one of the members at a conference prior to the pandemic. Since, all the meetings continue to be available through Zoom she has been able to volunteer her time and services with the group and has even contributed a short story to one of their fundraising anthology series called, “Romancing the Holidays” that the group publishes that helps pay for the speakers and events throughout the year.
Debby agreed to be the first guest on Jolene’s Books and Writer’s Talk podcast which is published on Southern Dragon Publishing’s YouTube Channel and on Apple Podcasts.
Her latest book is called Island Heat and I had the pleasure of reading it before our interview. It is a saucy, romance mystery book that begins with a “love at first-sight” romance between a book writer and a book seller on a Murder Mystery Cruise. What could go wrong? Right…Almost everything and including a real murder. Loved it and we hope she sells lots of copies.
Short Biography
Award winning author, Debby Grahl, lives on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with her husband, David. Besides writing, she enjoys biking, walking on the beach and a glass of wine at sunset. Her favorite places to visit are New Orleans, New York City, Captiva Island in Florida, the Cotswolds of England, and her home state of Michigan. She is a history buff who also enjoys reading murder mysteries, time travel, and, of course, romance. Visually impaired since childhood by Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), she uses screen-reading software to research and write her books.
