Join a Podcast and Blog Tour to help you get more exposure for your books and you, as an author. There are some book tours that are paid, like advertising and there are even some podcasts that you have to pay for to become a guest. However, as with most of us authors we have to spend our advertising budget very carefully. Yes, as an indie author and even a traditional author you will ahve to shell out some funds to gain more exposure for your books. How much you spend and where you spend it is entirely up to you.
Write and Article for a Fellow Author’s Blog or Newsletter
We have a submission page for those who would like to contribute an article for publication with our magazine. There is not pay but you will receive writing credit and can advertise your latest published book or an upcoming book. You write the article, creaate a graphic and send us the text or Word document along with your professional author photograph and author contact information. We have a page set up with an online form that you can upload files. CLICK HERE
Each article will be included with our upcoming newsletter and share on all of our social media platforms. In addition, our social media coordinator will be happy to subscribe, like and share each of your author social media accounts along with commenting on at least one post. We only ask that you return the favor. Our social media icons are located at the top of the header and the bottom of the header.
Look on Facebook Groups for Free Podcasts and Apply
Jolene’s Book and Writer’s Talk has openings for writers who would like to participate. The forum is fairly open in that we talk about books, writing, book marketing, book narrating and anything else that has to do with the publishing industry. We include both indie and traditionally published authors from every genre. CLICK HERE to join in on the fun.
There are lots of great podcasts our there. Check the PODCAST Facebook groups or search in your favorite browser. Read through their requirements and give it a shot. You just never know what will work for you and your stories.
Check your Writers Groups for What they Are Promoting
We have a North Florida Writers Blog Tour website that we promote local Florida authors for free with a complete article, links to their books to purchase and a 30 second promo video that the authors can share on their social media accounts and websites. Once the article is created we also share it with all of our social media accounts. CLICK HERE for read more about it and even schedule your promotional article soon. We do ask that you have some affiliation with the North Florida/South Georgia area by either, working here or for a local company, living here, or being part of a local writer’s group.
For other Blog Tours you can search through Facebook writer’s groups and ask your local writers associations for a listing of current websites that promotes local authors for free. This can even include local newspapers, bookstores who send out newsletters and your local library.

You too can start a Shopify Store with ePub versions of your books. This could be a profitable revenue stream for you with complete control over your product. Shopify has a $5/month basic subscription that allows you to upload digital products only and sell them on their online store and through your social media channels. Southern Dragon Publishing started one this month and we will be reporting our progress as we go. We are currently taking advantage of the first Three Months for only $1/month after the initial 14-day trial!
