I wrote a book last year to accompany a lecture I gave to the members of the Writers Alliance of Gainesville. It was my very first lection and first Zoom conference. The book and the lecture are entitled “Top Ten Ways to Market Your Books for Free”. Inside the book, the last suggestion does not apply to small businesses but the rest of the advice can be adapted to just about anyone out there who wants to learn the basics of today’s marketing techniques.

Not everything will apply to you but if you try most of these suggestions you will see an increase in your readership and sales. The trick to most marketing strategies is to come up with a plan of consistent delivery of new material for a specific period of time. Evaluate your results then tweak what you can to try and get better. Most people need visual stimulation to look at products so very clear pictures are great but short videos are even better. There are a multitude of different learning tools out there if you need assistance creating your own videos, editing them, and uploading them to the various social media platforms.
For those writers who would like to join and use Smashwords as an eBook publisher, it is a great service with easy-to-use tools.
