Gathering followers, readers, subscribers, etc. can be a daunting task for most of us introverted writers. We just want to be able to sit at our computers and work on our stories, researching, editing and all the things that we do to get our books completed. But what about when you are done with all that? Now you have to think about publishing or in most our cases, self-publishing, and then marketing our books to get paid for all the time and effort we have put into these pages over whatever time period it has taken us to accomplish the end result.

Over the next year we hope to feature all of the north Florida published writers. It would be nice to do 300 posts in 300 days excluding weekends with these posts over all four or five of our writing websites including Jolene’s Books and More, Women Detectives Info Blog, JBMStore, Etcetera’s Store and this one as well. Any of the writers who write about female detectives would be featured on the Women’s Detectives Blog and all the rest will be divided among the rest.

If you are a North Florida writer you should be receiving an email from us sometime in the next week or two. If you do not we hope you will get in touch with us if you would like to participate. It is a great opportunity for new writers to get some exposure which we hope will translate into great new sales. One of our writers suggested that we even do a blog book tour and feature writers on each other’s websites too. A kind of round-robin deal. We will be keeping track of the posts with links to each of them on Jolene’s Books and More North Florida Writers Page. These will all be shared on our Twitter, Facebook, and other social media pages. We would also encourage all the North Florida writers to share, comment, and like each of them in turn.

I currently have a listing of over 100 North Florida writers so far with their email address, social media pages, and a list of their books they have published so far to get us started. I will contact each of them next week and ask them a couple of questions, request a publicity picture to feature in the article and also ask them to share the post on all of their social media accounts. We would probably need to come up with a couple of hashtags to help us find these postings quickly such as the following that you will add to your own posts, tweets, shares, etc.

#NorthFlaWriters
#NorthFlaAuthors
#WritingInNorthFla
#MarketingNorthFlaWriters

Some of the questions that will help fill out the articles might be:

What types of books do you like to read when you are not writing?

Which writer influenced you the most and why?

What would be your number one tip for new writers?

What is your favorite way to relax between writing sessions?

Looking forward to hearing from everyone and getting this blog tour started. Let me know if you are a published North Florida writer and would like to be featured in one of the posts.
