Have you heard the expression, “You Ought To Be in Pictures”? Authors should probably get comfortable with being on video now and in the future. Marketing your stories whether you are a contracted published author or independent you still have to do some of the marketing yourself. Getting new readers and thus buyers of your books is, generally, the main idea of writing them in the first place. Making money may not be your main driving force of publishing your books but having readers should be.
Marketing strategy is a constantly changing thing. It can be a very complicated subject. There are simple formulas that can still work for you. The main thing is to decide on a plan and implement it. Small simple steps done on a consistent basis can help you gain more readers, sell more books and eventually gain a nice following. Of course, my little book can help you with that.
We are still excited about our first digital book festival. I think it went pretty well. They are keeping all the teaching videos and author booths on the website for everyone to view and enjoy. Of course, you can even click on their books to buy some that you would like to try. The WAG people did an admirable job and we are on the lookout for more of them to do in the next several weeks. Check out my author booth and video. Leave comments, like, share and come back and see it again when you can.

You know we do offer that service to local North Florida Writers. We can meet you at our office in Lake City or come to one of the local libraries to film you for a short commercial or an introductory video for another one of these digital book festivals. After viewing several on the Sunshine State website you might get some creative ideas of your own. You can also request an article on our North Florida Writers Tour website for FREE.
