I was playing with my new video creation service called Video Robot that I purchased through JVZoo last July. I was hoping to be able to create my own 3D avatars. One of my clients is video shy but wants to advertise her published books in a fun way. Creating your own 3D full-length avatar to use in promotional videos will be really cool.
Today I finally put together a brief commercial for my business using one of their female avatars and computer-generated voice but my own script. I tried to use my own video and music but for some reason couldn’t get either file to upload. I was able to use my own pictures as backgrounds. Their templates leave a lot to be desired as far as versatility. If they ever want to get more business they need to either give us the ability to download the app to our computer or increase the file size limits on uploads.
The company provides quite a few tutorial videos to walk you through creating your own. However, just following the screens and playing with the different settings only took about an hour to get it almost the way I wanted it. I did start with one of their templates but like I said earlier I choose a different background and I had to change the colors of the fonts for each little animated text section along the way. I made the mistake of pushing the back button to try and correct the dialogue but when I got to the last page all of my changes had been reset to the original template. I had to start over which might have been a good thing because I was able to move the different text blurbs easier and along the timeline easier.
When I get more time, hopefully in the next three weeks, I will try and actually view the instructional videos and see what else I can learn. Till next time.
